Beech Street Development, LLC, was formed in 2004 with a decidedly different approach to developing and investing in real estate. Fundamentally, our philosophy is contrarian: It is the product of our principals having a combined 85 years of commercial real estate legal and business experience, and the insight that comes from being extensively involved in projects of all types through the full range of every economic cycle.

Unlike most investors and developers who do a few transactions during a given year, our principals are perennially involved in literally hundreds of financing, development and investment transactions involving projects located across the country. With the benefit of our substantial and diverse experience, we spend considerable time analyzing conventional development philosophies and approaches, and the opportunities that exist by taking an approach that is different from the way it has always been done.

Illustrative of our approach is Beech Street’s current project, Brook Park. Located on approximately 5 1/2 acres in the nexus of North Buckhead, Brookhaven and Sandy Springs, Brook Park is a gated community specially designed and developed for families seeking in-town privacy, safety and security in an environment of luxury.

The emphasis is on community, with each of Brook Park’s eight lots having the right to use and enjoy 2+ acres of common green space and a central gathering place, outdoor fireplace and patio. Significantly, the common green space abuts approximately 20 acres of land comprising a portion of the Nancy Creek Watershed that must remain undisturbed in accordance with applicable law. The orientation of the lots takes advantage of views across the green space and the natural area beyond in order to feature Brook Park’s signature design element.

Our Team

Beech Street Development assembled a team of renowned professionals with extensive experience in developing quality residential developments in the metropolitan area, and beyond. Our team approach has maximized the aesthetic appeal, quality and value of the development.

  • Alec Michaelides and Ken Lemm of Land Plus Associates led our land planning efforts, and designed the landscaping and hardscaping features of the development.
  • Bill Harrison of Harrison Design Associates provided the development with its thematic architectural scheme, and his firm served as architect of each of the homes in the development.
  • Jeff Thomas of Jeff Thomas Interior Design designed and selected all interior finishes in each of the homes, assuring thematic continuity while giving each design a unique appeal consistent with the home’s architecture and lot placement.
  • Brunning & Stang Construction Management, Inc. provided construction management services.
